Musk, live, talks about his experience on an American Airlines flight to Philadelphia and back to Manchester, New Hampshire. He was drinking at the airport and harassing other passengers while driving. And while he reports that he made it to the airport and onto the plane to Philadelphia without his mask on properly, he says he was kicked off the last flight by American for a reason that had nothing to do with the masks – he sat in an empty row to promote social distance.
I’ve never worn a mask for more than 2 minutes and I hate electricity.
Wish me luck.

Jeremy Kauffman owns a publishing company (doing to publishing what bitcoin has done to money) and is a board member of the Free State Project, which seeks to convince libertarians to move to New Hampshire, a state small enough for a critical mass of voters to take control and set policy.
As a libertarian, it seems strange not to comply with the rules of a private company that requires passengers to wear masks as a condition of air travel. The US rules predate the federal mask rules. Masks have always been a slightly more mundane alternative to blocking for me.
And I never understood that masks were about control. Control by whom and for what purpose? How do they make a profit? I prefer to believe the conspiracy theory that SARS-CoV-2 is being prepared in a Wuhan laboratory to promote the purchase of masks worldwide, as mask production is widespread in China…..
Kaufman never washes his mask, by the way. You should change the mask every four hours. When you take the mask off, you put on a new mask. Then he started drinking, so you know the story has a happy ending.
I got to the bar where there’s no COVID.
I’m sure I’ll spend as much time as possible drinking on this trip, because the COVID disappears after consumption pic.twitter.com/GnqcEnB8F2

He considers the hypocritical exception of allowing passengers to briefly remove their masks to eat or drink to be disingenuous and proves what has never been entirely clear.

I landed on the run as one of them. My mask was on my chin for most of the flight, so everyone on the plane will probably die tomorrow.
Now we’re unclogging with a mechanism that’s even slower than traditional pic.twitter.com/4UYZqf8IAf

During his connection to Philadelphia, he walked around without wearing a mask over his nose and mouth, as required by federal and airport regulations.
No one was offended.
I took off some masks to put a smile on my face.

He seems to oscillate between thinking Covid doesn’t exist and that people don’t take it seriously enough, whether it’s American Airlines refusing to offer in-flight social distancing or airline passengers getting flustered when disembarking and not getting enough exercise (because there’s a correlation between obesity and serious illness).
Most of my fellow travelers take the escalator, not the stairs.

Then he starts having problems, and it has nothing to do with his mask. He boarded the plane and took a seat in an empty row instead of his assigned seat.
This has nothing to do with security. It’s always been about power.

Although American Airlines did not block the sale of seats in the middle or restrict the sale of seats on flights to encourage the move, the airline did make passengers transfer to catch the flight. I contacted American Airlines to see if the policy had changed, and spokeswoman Sarah Jantz confirmed that the policy was still in effect.
Mr. Kaufman has driven from Philadelphia to Manchester, New Hampshire, and considers himself a good customer of American Airlines.
Perhaps the strangest thing about the whole thing is Kauffman’s comment that he has lost respect for everyone.
