The latest round of cancellations is not surprising, given that it follows a similar announcement by Norwegian Cruise Line.
Although the Royal Caribbean Group has not yet extended its own suspension of service beyond 31. In April, insiders expect that this shipping company will soon cancel flights scheduled for May as well.
While the extension of the Carnival will undoubtedly disappoint many who had hoped to set sail in May, those who had booked a crossing for Mardi Gras will likely be most affected, especially those who had booked previous inaugural trips that were also cancelled.

Since then, the carnival website indicates that the new date is the 5th. June, when Mardi Gras makes another attempt at her first trip.
As with cancelled cruises, people booked on the affected flights have the choice of a full cash refund or a credit for a future cruise combined with an on-board credit, the amount of which varies depending on the length of the original cruise.
