The Carnival Triumph arrived at port in Mobile, Alabama, at around 2:00 p.m. Central time today, almost four days after leaving Galveston in rough seas and inclement weather. Although the ship was scheduled to dock in Mobile at 8:00 a.m., the U.S. Coast Guard ordered Carnival to hold off until the weather had cleared enough for a safe arrival. At around 6:00 a.m., the Coast Guard gave the all clear, and the Triumph began its approach to port.
After being stuck in the Gulf of Mexico due to unusually heavy storms, Carnival Cruise Lines ships left Galveston, Texas, where they were stuck, and arrived in Miami, Florida, on May 2, 2011. The ships started to leave Galveston on April 28, 2011, but were ultimately delayed due to the recent storms. After arriving in Galveston, the ships had to remain docked due to high winds and rough waves. Eventually, the Coast Guard ordered the ships back to port because of the unsafe conditions.
Two Carnival Cruise Line ships have finally arrived in Galveston, Texas, for the first time since cruises stopped more than a year ago. The arrival of the Carnival Breeze and Carnival Vista on Sunday afternoon was an emotional day for the Port of Miami and the cruise line.
This comes after Carnival suspended operations in the United States until June 2020, having suspended operations since March 2020. However, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) now indicates that cruises could resume in mid-July, which is good news for the Port of Galveston and the local economy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you track a Carnival cruise ship?
Cruise ships are huge, and they travel all over the world. You might wonder how you can keep track of where your ship is, but it’s easy with today’s technology. You can sign up to get text alerts when your ship leaves port, and if you have an Apple Watch you can use your device to locate the ship and track its progress. Cruise ships are fun for a whole host of reasons: the food, the entertainment, the destinations. But, they also come with some hidden issues that you need to be aware of. One of those issues is the near-total lack of control passengers have when they are on a cruise ship—especially in comparison to when they are on land. For example, if you have a smartphone, you know that you can use it to track your location. But what if you are on a cruise ship and want to know where you are? Could you track a Carnival Cruise ship? The answer is yes, but only if you are willing to pay a premium.
Can you track where a cruise ship is?
Cruise ships can be fun and relaxing, providing good food, entertainment, and exotic ports of call. But not everyone is comfortable cruising the seas, sans land in sight. That’s why some people are interested in following the exact path of a cruise ship: they can log online and find out exactly where the ship is and how far it’s traveled. As cruise ships have become more high-tech, this is easier than ever. In fact, many of the newer cruise ships can track where they are themselves, using GPS. This allows them to upload their own position to their own websites and apps. Passengers can then check out this information at their leisure. If you’ve ever wondered “Can I follow a cruise ship on the internet?” or “Can I track a cruise ship on Google Maps?” here’s some good news: you can! Where are all the Carnival ships docked?
As the largest cruise ship in the world, the Carnival Cruise Line’s Symphony of the Seas is also the biggest ship to dock in New York City. Along with the other ships in the fleet, it has been a major tourism driver, bringing tens of thousands of tourists to New York City during the summer. Some of the Symphony of the Seas’ stops have been in the Caribbean, while others have been in places like Bermuda. During the late Spring/early Summer of 2021, the ship will be stopping in major cities like New York City, Boston, and Quebec. So, where are all of the Carnival ships currently docked? With a fleet that includes over 100 cruise ships, Carnival Cruise Lines is the largest cruise line in the world. That means that thousands of vacationers are heading out on cruises with the company right now. Carnival Cruise Line ships travel to exotic and exciting destinations where the opportunities for sightseeing and exploring are endless. However, those trips are not without their challenges. Traveling by ship is not like traveling by plane, where you get to the airport, go through security, and get on a plane. Nor is it like traveling by car, where you can just hop in the car and go. The ship is the whole trip, and it can take days for a ship to make it
