Shaquille O’Neal is known for his more prominent role as Chief Fun Officer (CFO) at Carnival Cruise Line. The former basketball star now has a small financial assistant to promote the company’s short cruise offerings in a new creative marketing campaign.
Through a series of videos and digital media, the NBA Hall of Famer and its pocket-sized counterpart highlight the convenience and affordability of the Carnival travel option of three to five nights.
Cruising is the best vacation ever, and the Carnival team is diligently preparing to get back on the water when the time comes. And my new little assistant is the perfect way to show everyone how much fun you can have on a ride, O’Neil said.
Carnival is a leader in the short-haul cruise industry, with departure ports along the East and West coasts and the Gulf of Mexico. About half of Carnival’s fleet operates short-haul cruises that call at flagship destinations in the Bahamas and Mexico, as well as private locations such as Half Moon Cay and Princess Cays, both in the Bahamas.
The mini-FO campaign launches today across digital, social, CRM and retail channels.
