Marriott International’s mission is to provide solutions to travel professionals so that they can once again plan hybrid virtual and in-person meetings and events.
Marriott is providing resources for hybrid meetings and events, including technology, healthcare protocols, logistics, vendors and pricing, which will be available at the company’s facilities in the U.S. and Canada starting next month.
Vendors such as Encore, Cvent, Convene, MeetingPlay and Hopin will offer solutions that integrate virtual participation and in-person experiences through technology with events called Connect with Confidence Meetings.
As the industry collectively navigates this changing meeting environment, Marriott is proud to offer meeting and event professionals new hybrid solutions, as well as our own best practices and lessons learned from our hybrid events, said Tammy Root, Senior Vice President of Marriott.
We know that meeting and event professionals are currently looking for ideas and tools to help them plan creative and innovative experiences for their clients, whether they are in person at the hotel or connecting from home, Ruth added. Meeting and event professionals can work with these leading technology providers to reach a wider audience and engage stakeholders from other venues in planning future meetings, conferences and events.
In December, Mr. Marriott announced the launch of Connect with Confidence, which includes additional health protocols for meeting and event professionals, including the COVID-19 test.
Earlier this month, Marriott and Sunwing Travel Group announced that 19 of the Sunwing Blue Diamond resorts will become part of Marriott’s autograph collection by mid-2021. All-inclusive resorts can be found in the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico.
