Marriott International has announced that he will become the new President and CEO of Marriott following the passing of Marriott President and CEO Arne Sorenson on the 15th. In February 2021, Anthony Tony Capuano was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Stephanie Linnartz was appointed President.
Anthony Capuano began his career at Marriott in 1995 and before that was President of the Global Development, Design and Operations Services Group, where he more than doubled the number of properties worldwide over the past 11 years and led the remediation effort during the COWID-19 pandemic.
Tony has been instrumental in the growth of the Marriott over the past decade, said J.W. Bill Marriott Jr. Executive Chairman and President of Marriott International. He will be an excellent leader in continuing our growth strategy as we manage the dynamics of the COVID 19 pandemic market, Mr. Marriott said.

Stephanie has leadership experience and a clear vision of how our core accommodation business, travel platform initiatives and loyalty strategies can work together to accelerate growth, Marriott said. His extensive experience in our business will allow him to work seamlessly with our owners and franchisees, innovate for our customers and guests, and advocate for new opportunities for our partners. Tony and Stephanie are exactly the CEOs and Presidents we need to continue on the road to recovery and growth in the years ahead.
