MSC Cruises has announced a further extension of its temporary suspension of travel to the United States until April 30, 2021.
This decision will affect the timetables of the three Florida-based ships: MSC Divina sails from Port Canaveral, MSC Meraviglia from Port Miami and MSC Armonia also from Port Miami.

Passengers who have paid in full and booked through MSC Cruises USA or its affiliated U.S. travel agents between April 1 and April 30, 2021 will be offered 125% of the original cruise fare. The credit for the future cruise can be used on any future cruise of their choice, on any ship and on any itinerary for sale. Another option is cashback.

A 125% credit on future cruises allows travelers to upgrade their cabin category and add pre-orders such as special meals, beverage packages, Wi-Fi or spa treatments to their reservations.

Other cancellations in progress
The cancellation of the MSC came after several other cruise lines also insisted on further sailings in the future.
Norwegian Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean also had April itineraries last month, with the exception of the Quantum of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas cruises in Asia.

Carnival announced in late January that it would also cancel all cruises through April. It also canceled the first cruise of its first mega-ship, the Mardi Gras, which will now sail on May 29, the weekend of Memorial Day. Carnival Australia’s departure has also been rescheduled for May 19, and Carnival Legend’s European itinerary has been rescheduled for October.
