P&O Cruises has announced details of its second Excel Arvia-class cruise ship, due to arrive in 2022. Upon arrival, the cruise line unveiled several new features, including a stunning infinity pool and the first-ever experience of standing on a tightrope at sea.
The first cruise ship of the Excel-class, the P&O Iona, has yet to set sail, but we are already looking forward to her sister ship! New features have been unveiled, including a unique square walkway, a swim-up bar and a new Green & Co restaurant featuring Mizuhana.
Guests can choose from two different high ropes courses (High Skywalk), located 54 m above the ocean. Below Skywalk Heights will be a skyscraper mini golf course with nine mini golf challenges, also offered by P&O Cruises.

P&O Cruises chairman Paul Ludlow said:
The Arvia is the latest development from P&O Cruises and embodies the latest trends in travel, dining and entertainment. It will be the epitome of a sunny holiday resort and will travel to the warmest climates all year round.
Mizuhana’s new Green & Co restaurant will feature a plant-based menu reflecting the latest trends in vegan, vegetarian and flexitarian cuisine, while the Altitude Skywalk and SeaScreen will entertain all ages.
Arvia’s exceptional amenities maximize sea, coastline and destination views from every location on board, while guests enjoy next-generation onboard entertainment.
The new mega-ship will have a retractable SkyDome for the first time – perfect for such beautiful British weather! The SkyDome will be a place to relax during the day, but at night it will be filled with entertainment, blockbuster shows and theatrical productions.
The new mega-ship will feature twelve restaurants and eight more casual dining options.
Green & Co, the Mizuhana with a menu of plants and fish served in a chic and elegant setting, was designed especially for Arvia.
