Royal Caribbean today announced that it will extend its cruises from Singapore by an additional 4 months until October 2021. This is the second time the company has extended highly successful cruises from the city-state, with thousands of guests aboard Quantum of the Seas since December.
The cruise line developed Ocean Getaways in collaboration with the Singapore government in December, after Asian cruise line Dream Cruises successfully cruised from Singapore on the World Dream a month earlier.

50,000 guests and rising
Quantum of the Seas’ 11-month season will be one of the longest for one of Asia’s largest and most innovative cruise ships. This line is very popular among Singaporeans.
The cruise season was extended for the first time in February this year. Due to its incredible success, the route is now fully booked for the second time until October this year in terms of customer satisfaction and cooperation with the Singapore government. To date, Quantum of the Seas has welcomed more than 50,000 guests.
Michael Bailey, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean, said of the expansion:
We continue to see overwhelming demand in Singapore for a cruise aboard Quantum of the Seas. With more than 50,000 guests traveling with us and no positive cases of COVID-19 to date, vacationers can rest assured that we strive to provide a safe and memorable cruise vacation, he said.

Drawing for others
The Quantum of the Seas has become a ship that other carriers are looking to emulate in terms of anti-COVID safety on board. With no documented infections and 50,000 guests carried, cruises from Singapore have exceeded expectations. A thought shared by Michael Bailey:
Royal Caribbean’s more than 30 Singapore cruises offer a real and proven model of how a cruise can be a unique and safe vacation that surpasses many other travel options. I am confident that we will continue to see how successful cruising can be through the combination of our safe and proven healthy practices, based on the 74 recommendations of the Healthy Sails Group, and the spread of vaccines around the world.
And not only that: With the resurgence of the travel and tourism industry around the world, adventurers can count on the safety of cruise ships. Since July 2020, Royal Caribbean Group has carried more than 100,000 guests on 152 cruises through Asia and Europe.

No change in route
Royal Caribbean will not change the popular itinerary the ship has been taking in recent months. Cruises of 2-3-4 days are offered to and from Singapore, with no stopover.
Unlike other countries, passengers on the Quantum of the Seas in Singapore do not yet need to be fully vaccinated. Guests must provide a valid and recent negative PCR test and confirm compliance with the various health protocols in place on board.
Departures between June and October are available to Singapore residents and can be booked from the 13th. April 2021 to book. It is not yet known when people from other countries will be able to book a cruise on Quantum of the Seas. Singapore is still strictly closed to tourists from most countries and it is unlikely that this will change any time soon.
