Royal Caribbean International, which will begin sailing Quantum of the Seas from Singapore in December 2020, will extend its season until October 2021.
We continue to see overwhelming demand in Singapore for a cruise aboard Quantum of the Seas. With more than 50,000 guests who have cruised with us and no positive cases of COVID-19 to date, vacationers can rest assured that we are focused on providing a safe and memorable cruise vacation, said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International.
Bailey said Singapore travel is a real and proven model of how a cruise can be a unique and safe vacation that goes beyond what many other travel options can offer.
Cruises from the U.S. remain stalled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) refusal to work with cruise lines to lift a conditional boating ban that was set to expire on January 1. November 2021 remains in effect, blocked.
However, the CDC may cancel the order if it determines that the COVID-19 pandemic is no longer an emergency. Since then, Royal Caribbean and other cruise lines have only offered scheduled cruises outside the United States, in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Europe.
Singapore cruises are certified by CruiseSafe, a local government certification that confirms cruises meet comprehensive health and safety requirements developed in collaboration with the Singapore government. After a successful run, Royal Caribbean first extended its season by three months, until June 2021, and is now doing so again for four months.
The ship offers two, three and four-night cruises. The new yachts are open to Singapore residents and will be launched on the 13th. April 2021 for sale.
The Quantum team will continue to implement comprehensive health and safety measures, including. B. COVID-19 testing, capacity reduction, physical evacuation measures, improved cleaning and decontamination processes, and contact tracing.
When we started introducing cruises to Singapore, our goal was to regain customer trust by supporting cruise operators with strict hygiene measures, said Annie Chang, director of cruises at the Singapore Tourism Board. The CruiseSafe Singapore standards provide a clear benchmark for our cruise partners to ensure compliance with on-board measures. To date, we have conducted over 90 trips with over 120,000 passengers and no cases of KOVID-19 have been reported on board,
Since July 2020, Royal Caribbean Group has carried more than 100,000 guests on 152 cruises through Asia and Europe. The line recently announced plans for a new Odyssey of the Seas cruise from Haifa, Israel, Pearl of the Seas from Cyprus, Anthem of the Seas from the United Kingdom, and cruises from the Bahamas with Adventure of the Seas and Bermuda with Vision of the Seas.
