Culinary and bar concepts
The Thompson San Antonio has four restaurants and bars, both indoors and outdoors. Led by James Beard Award finalist and local San Antonio chef Steve McHugh, Landrace celebrates regional Texas ingredients and those grown close to home. The Landrace’s dishes are prepared on charcoal, using the impressive Grillworks charcoal grill. The Landrace has a 200-seat terrace overlooking the waterfront, a semi-open kitchen and two private dining rooms.
Moon’s Daughters is a rooftop restaurant and bar. The Moon’s Daughters offers live music and DJ sets every Friday and Saturday night, as well as one-off events like the Super Full Moon Party, tarot card readings and aerial performances. Chef Robert Cantu, a San Antonio native and graduate of the Grand Tavern by David Burke at the Angad Arts Hotel and the Cheshire Hotel in St. Louis, is the only chef in the world to be awarded the Grand Tavern. Louis, will offer a Mediterranean-style menu here.
In addition to Landrace and The Moon’s Daughters, the Thompson San Antonio also features a fourth-floor lobby bar by the pool and an outdoor bar exclusively for hotel guests and residents of adjacent art residences.
Tip: During their stay, guests have access to Thompson San Antonio’s Tastemakers, knowledgeable insiders who can help them choose their products on site. Guests of Thompson San Antonio also receive preferred reservations for Landrace and The Moon’s Daughters.
