Virgin Voyages is an award-winning, world-class cruise brand operating in the U.S., Europe and beyond. The London-based company, which has operated for over a century, is making its first European landfall with the launch of three itineraries to the UK: the Scarlet Lady, offering nine nights at sea in a luxurious ship with a panoramic glass-fronted atrium, and city views from every deck; the White Lady, offering seven nights in magnificent elegance on a ship with a glass-fronted atrium; and the Black Lady, offering seven nights in style on a ship with a glass-panelled atrium.
Remember the Concorde? It was the supersonic transport that went over 100 mph in a matter of minutes, but the British Airways Concorde fleet got grounded in 2003. Those old planes are now being retired and replaced with new ones that are much faster, but they’re not exactly the same as the old ones. Virgin Atlantic’s new fleet of aircraft is a classic example of this: the new planes look like their predecessors, but fly like modern aircraft.
Virgin Voyages has announced it will begin operating a new cruise ship in the United Kingdom in 2019. The ship will be the first of its kind in the UK, and will be known as “Scarlet Lady”. The ship will be able to accommodate a maximum of 2,500 passengers and 600 crew members. The ship will have a wide array of luxury suites, including 16 suites that will be dedicated to guests who are travelling with their family.
Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady has taken sail on its first-ever voyage after numerous delays due to COVID-19 and more than 16 months after the planned selling date of March 2020. The new cruise line, which is controlled by Richard Branson and his Virgin group of businesses, will depart from Portsmouth in the United Kingdom on six separate voyages.
On the first of her Summer Soiree Series, the vessel set sail from her homeport in the South of England at 7 p.m. on August 6. There will be two distinct itineraries in the series.

Virgin Voyages is a British travel company that has expanded into cruising, starting the first cruise ship in the UK in 2013.
